2) Parque Del Amour at Sunset, Lima

Apart from Barranco, Parque Del Amour is one of my favourite places in Lima. You can create some really beautiful photos with the backdrop of sunset over the pacific sea. The spot is just next to a paragliding site so that adds even more excitement to the background!

6) PeruRail train

The Peru Rail train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes is a great way to get to Machu Picchu if you do not want to do a big trek to get there. The route is beautiful and the train has ceiling windows which really add to the environment.

A cheaper option than the Peru rail to get to Aguas Calientes is to get a bus to hydroelectrica and then walk to Aguas Calientes. This walk is parallel to the train tracks and you can take some really interesting photos there.

What else to do when you see a parked train? Climb on it!

7) Machu Picchu

No trip to Peru would be complete without a trip to Machu Picchu and it is definitely one of the most famous instagrammable places in Peru. I was a bit unlucky when I visited Machu Picchu as the whole thing was in clouds and it was raining. Even with the weather, the place was still really impressive and I loved it.

This was the best shot I got of Machu Picchu – sadly the weather wasn’t great!

8) Amazon Rainforest

Peru has many options to visit the Amazon, personally I visited in Puerto Maldonado. You can get some really fun photos in the treetops or even climbing the trees.

If you do the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, you will of course pass the Salkantay mountain. It is a dramatic landscape definitely worth visiting. I even saw some national geographic photographers while I was there.
